Missing your $1,400 stimulus check? Here’s what you should do

The Windows 10 May 2021 Update, version 21H1, started rolling out to devices Tuesday, Microsoft said in a blog post. With the third payment, the EIP card arrives in a white envelope sent from “Economic Impact Payment Card.” The letter will have a US Department of the Treasury seal.

The other win: I felt a little more comfortable with Apple doing the work. A few years ago I hired a local shop to replace my daughter’s phone battery; it came back with a broken front camera. This marks the first time an H1 (first half of the calendar year) feature update is being delivered using Microsoft’s servicing technology. That means it’ll arrive the same way that monthly Windows 10 updates do. It’s also the same way the October 2020 update was released. If you’re already running either Windows 10 version 2004 or version 20H2, it’ll be a fast installation process to get the newest update. The December stimulus package went a step further and protected the second round of stimulus checks from all garnishment, including child support.
