About Us
SeTech Engineering Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1997 by a group of experienced wastewater treatment professionals. The main focus of the company is to provide quality and sound engineering services in the field of wastewater treatment, specialising in sewage treatment technologies.
The company understands that harmful impact of wastewater pollution in our national watercourses. It is along this notion that the company hopes to provide technical assistance and support to Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) and other relevant government bodies to help save-guard our environment.
SeTech Engineering Sdn Bhd would also like to collaborate with Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) and Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) to carry out research and development on sewage treatment plants to further enhance the quality of the treated effluent.
Meanwhile the company not only positions itself as a sewerage treatment specialist but also diversifies into machinery fabrication. The diversification into designing and fabrication of sewage treatment plant equipment is to fulfil the following objectives:-
• to obtain local design information and data base;
• to increase and create more “localised” products and technology rather than be fully dependent on foreign technology;
• to modify and improve the equipment in order to suit local environmental conditions and local human resources ability;
• to enhance local design data base which presently solely depends on overseas research and development information;
• to introduce Malaysian sewage technology into the global market specifically around the ASEAN region in the hope of boosting our economy and further strengthen our currency.
This is in line with the Government’s call to reduce dependency on foreign imports. Currently, majority of the machinery used in a sewage treatment plant is imported from overseas. Therefore, it is the vision of the company to join forces with other relevant parties to provide technology transfer in the field of wastewater treatment plant machinery for local fabrication.
