Setech Sludge and Scum Scraper is most common used in the circular tank, a center feed well introduces the flow in a manner that dissipates inlet velocities and distributes the flow evenly around the tank. The wastewater moves radically from the feed well to h weir and overflow trough at the perimeter of the tank. Settled solids are raked to a hopper near the tank center by arms attached to a drive unit at the center of the tank or by a traction unit operating on the tank wall. A surface blade attached to the sludge collector moves floating material to a scum hopper.
Setech Sludge and Scum Scraper have been extensively applied in sewage:
a) Removal and concentration of sedimentation solids in sewage treatment process.
b) Removal of floatable, including grease and scum or suspended solids in sewage treatment process.
c) Volume reduction beneficial to subsequent treatment processes, such as digestion, dewatering.
